For anyone who has followed the political movements around Labour Party in recent years, one pattern stands out clearly: Abayomi Arabambi shifts loyalties depending on where the money, access or temporary advantage lies. His record is filled with contradictions, public fights, reconciliations motivated by profit, and calculated acts of sabotage. At this point, it has become necessary to state clearly that we cannot continue to be associated with a man whose only stable ideology is personal gain.
EVIDENCE OF A CONSISTENT PATTERN OF INSTABILITY, BLACKMAIL AND PROFIT-SEEKING
- His praise-singing and endorsement of Governor Dapo Abiodun
Arabambi once publicly led an endorsement of Governor Dapo Abiodun for a second term, describing him as the only candidate capable of “progress”, and claiming Labour Party adopted him because he “aligned with LP ideology.” These statements appeared in multiple reports, including Western Post, Vanguard and Daily Post.
- His endorsement later disowned by his own party structure
The Ogun State caretaker committee immediately disowned his endorsement, calling it “dubious” and “grievous,” insisting he acted without legitimacy. This shows his political positions are often personal deals, not party decisions.
- His open warfare with Julius Abure
Arabambi has spent years attacking Julius Abure publicly. At different times he accused Abure of forgery, conspiracy and mismanagement. He went as far as preparing for Abure’s removal and aligning with factions aiming to take over the party.
- His sudden reconciliations when it favours him
After spending years fighting Abure, the same Arabambi returned to defend him again, claiming new investigations had cleared Abure and accusing others of trying to “derail the peace process”. This is part of the same cycle: fight, create chaos, negotiate softness, return to praise-singing.
- His frequent reliance on money as the basis of his political arguments
Arabambi repeatedly framed party issues around finances, including claims that agents were unpaid and that election funds were mismanaged. Whether he is attacking or defending depends heavily on where he stands in the financial equation.
- His recent attacks on Dapo Abiodun after benefiting from him
After praising the governor and endorsing him, he later turned around to accuse Abiodun of “infrastructural genocide” and condemned “monetised political endorsements”. This shows a familiar pattern: praise when he is inside the arrangement, and attack when he is outside.
- His active role in sabotaging Peter Obi and undermining LP’s internal democracy
Arabambi’s behaviour toward Peter Obi is one of the clearest indicators that his loyalty is not to party, principle or progress, but to whoever is paying attention to him at the moment.
Despite being a serving member of the National Working Committee, he repeatedly worked against the party’s own presidential candidate. He openly pushed narratives that weakened Obi’s position, threatened disciplinary action against him, and acted in ways that suggested he was being sponsored by opposing political interests to destabilise LP from within.
These actions made him appear more like an internal contractor for political sabotage than a party administrator. His language, timing and public statements repeatedly aligned with the agenda of external forces determined to weaken Labour Party’s electoral chances.
LOGICAL INFERENCES
Taking all these incidents together, a clear picture emerges:
● Arabambi does not operate based on political principles. His stand on any issue depends on who is benefiting him at that moment.
● His pattern of praising, attacking and later reconciling with the same individuals is not normal political movement; it is transactional behaviour.
● He consistently behaves like a political freelance agent used to destabilise parties, not someone committed to strengthening them.
● He has no known business interest outside politics, and his survival strategy appears tied to living inside the pockets of politicians.
● The instability around him is not accidental. It is his method. His usefulness increases only when there is chaos, confusion and power tussle.
CONCLUSION: A NECESSARY DISASSOCIATION
It has reached a point where any responsible political actor must clearly distance themselves from Arabambi. The constant instability, the unpredictable alliances, the blackmail tactics and the pattern of being used as an instrument of chaos have made continued association impossible.
This statement is not driven by malice. It is driven by clarity. Arabambi operates as a one-man political company, and the only product he sells is confusion. We refuse to be shareholders in that company.
