Upbeat Centre, Nigeria’s leading trampoline and recreation park, recently held a highly successful Children’s Fun Day as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The event, in partnership with the One African Child Foundation, brought together children from underserved communities, offering a day of fun, learning, and physical activity.
The Children’s Fun Day wasn’t just about entertainment—it aimed to instill valuable lessons inspired by Upbeat Centre’s upcoming comic series, The Hoppa. The initiative provided the children with a holistic experience, combining recreation with key life skills such as teamwork, health, fitness, and self-confidence.
Speaking about the event, Upbeat Centre’s Operations Manager, Babatunde Akingbola, expressed his satisfaction. “Hosting the Children’s Fun Day was an incredibly fulfilling experience. This day was more than fun – it was about instilling valuable lessons in the children, inspired by The Hoppa curriculum. We are proud to collaborate with the One African Child Foundation and are thrilled to see the positive impact this event has had on the children,” Akingbola said.
The day’s activities included trampoline jumps, relay races, and wall climbing, all of which aligned with The Hoppa’s emphasis on physical fitness and resilience. These activities encouraged teamwork, determination, and healthy competition among the children, while also promoting an active lifestyle.
Additionally, interactive workshops educated the children on the dangers of screen addiction and the importance of maintaining a balanced diet and regular exercise. These sessions, rooted in The Hoppa’s Wellbeing & Safety and Food & Nutrition pillars, provided practical lessons on healthy living that the children could incorporate into their daily lives.
The Children’s Fun Day aligns with Upbeat Centre’s broader mission to promote health and well-being, particularly among children from disadvantaged backgrounds. By hosting this event, Upbeat Centre also reinforced its commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 3, which focuses on ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all ages.
As West Africa’s premier trampoline and recreation park, Upbeat Centre offers state-of-the-art facilities and activities aimed at fostering active lifestyles. The Centre remains dedicated to creating memorable experiences for families, schools, and organizations, while prioritizing safety, inclusivity, and community engagement.
For the children involved, the event was more than just a fun day out—it was an opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
