Professionals and businessmen in the country have raised concerns over an alleged plot by certain individuals to weaken the administration led by President Bola Tinubu. The group, known as the Forum of Nigerians Professionals in Politics (FNPP), has claimed that there is a coordinated effort to mount attacks on the office of the Chief of Staff, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, with the aim of distracting and weakening the Tinubu administration.
The FNPP, through its National Coordinator, Chief Okey Ezenwa, released a statement in Abuja, asserting that those behind the attacks are enemies of the Tinubu administration seeking to hinder the government from achieving its set objectives and goals. Ezenwa stated that the attacks are specifically directed at the Chief of Staff, recognizing the crucial role the office plays in the success of any administration.
The FNPP raised concerns about the recruitment of fifth columnists and hatchet writers by the enemies of the Tinubu administration to fabricate false allegations against the Chief of Staff. The goal is to cause internal disaffection and weaken the administration. The forum urged those behind the attacks to desist from such actions, emphasizing that it goes against the collective interest of the people.
Furthermore, the FNPP pledged support for President Tinubu and urged him to remain focused, not allowing these elements to distract or weaken his administration, especially in his commitment to reposition the economy and address corruption in the country. The forum highlighted the critical phase of the nation’s development and called for unity and support rather than unnecessary plots that could detract from the administration’s goals.
