A major technology summit dedicated to advancing women’s leadership in engineering and innovation is set to convene thousands of stakeholders in Lagos this June, as WITESA marks its fifth edition with expanded ambition.
The Women in Technology and Engineering Summit and Awards (WITESA) 2026 will hold on June 23 and 24, bringing together founders, engineers, policymakers, investors and corporate executives under one roof. Organised by Womenovate in partnership with Tech Revolution Africa, this year’s edition represents the summit’s first outing in Lagos after four earlier gatherings.
WITESA 5.0 is built around a strategic proposition: Africa’s digital transformation will remain incomplete without structured pathways that support women at every tier of the ecosystem. From entry-level engineers to boardroom decision-makers, the summit aims to strengthen representation through practical engagement and measurable opportunity.
Attendance is projected to exceed 2,000 participants, with over 60 speakers leading conversations across nine tracks. These will cover artificial intelligence, climate-focused innovation, infrastructure, scaling strategies and emerging technologies. A highlight of the programme is the startup pitch segment, where 50 selected startups will present to investors and corporate leaders.
The event will culminate in an awards gala on June 24, where more than 60 women will be recognised for excellence and impact across Africa’s technology and engineering sectors.
Corporate participation remains a central pillar of the summit. MTN Nigeria’s involvement as Gold Sponsor reflects the growing alignment between inclusion-focused initiatives and long-term business strategy within the technology industry.
Womenovate Founder Motunrayo Opayinka noted that the summit is structured to move beyond visibility into building sustainable systems that support women’s professional growth.
Ticket options include Standard (₦10,000), Business (₦50,000), Executive (₦100,000), Premium (₦200,000), and a Gala Table package for four at ₦1,000,000. Promotional bundles currently allow additional complimentary tickets within select categories.
Organisers say Executive and Premium packages provide access to investor sessions, deal-making forums, and premium gala seating, positioning them as strategic investments for companies seeking talent engagement.
