Super Falcons midfielder Chioma Olise has committed her future to Turkish side Trabzonspor Women, signing a one-year contract extension after a standout debut season, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
The 22-year-old joined Trabzonspor in early 2025 from Nigeria Women’s Football League champions Edo Queens, penning a one-and-a-half-year deal. Her new agreement comes before the expiration of her initial contract a reflection of the impact she has made both on and off the pitch.
“For me, it was an easy decision,” Olise said. “Trabzonspor believed in me from the beginning, and I feel at home here both on and off the pitch. The fans, my teammates, and the entire environment push me to be better every day. The target this season is winning the league and I’m focused on giving 100 per cent every time I wear the jersey.”
Olise, who scored once in the league last season, earned praise for her influential substitute appearance in a 4-0 victory over ALG Spor. She now aims to improve her numbers with “more goals, more assists, and more influence on games.”
Her career began at Royal Queens before her breakthrough at Edo Queens, where she won the 2023/24 NWFL Premiership and the West Africa Zone Women’s Champions League in Ivory Coast. She captained Edo Queens to a fourth-place finish at the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco.
On the international stage, Olise made her senior Super Falcons debut in October 2024 against Algeria and previously represented Nigeria at the 2022 and 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cups.
With her contract extension sealed, the dynamic midfielder will lead Trabzonspor’s charge for a first-ever Turkish Women’s Super League crown in the 2025/26 season.
